Yes I would say they are definitely cowards, they do not fight fairly because they are to weak and pathetic to do so. Higher ranking member send there pawns to do fanatical suicides on unarmed targets.

I despise Al Qaeda and I believe they need to be stopped and, depending on the rules of international law, imprisoned or even executed. But it doesn't help to simplistically call them cowards (could YOU have given up your life to hijack a foreign jet liner?) or say they follow Satan. They THINK they're following Allah, but isn't it enough to say that they're wrong? And if they were true cowards, they would have run away and stopped causing trouble long ago.
Doesn't mean they aren't evil.
ETA: And what's wrong with your avatar is that, unless you've been living under a rock, you know full well that it goes against Islam to draw their prophet Mohammed. By having that name, under that avatar, it implies that you've done just that, which is even more inciting than, say, peeing on an American flag or a statue of Christ. And don't argue that it's legal to do those things--nobody has sent cops after you for the avatar, either. Legality doesn't equal right.

I agree with most of your post. I can't completely bring myself to call a non-suicidal person who willingly straps explosives to his body, knowing he's going to be detonated...a coward. I like the word "misguided"...and yes, they need to be taken out, before they take us out.
