At first glance, my answer would be guy friends because you're a guy. Unless you're looking to get married in the near future, it's kind of a waste of time and money to spend all your efforts in girl land. But upon reading the rest of your post, I felt impressed to share my husband's story with you.

My husband, who is decidedly not homosexual, had this "problem" in high school himself. He was committed to living the standards of his religious lifestyle and none of the guys he knew at his high school thought those standards were important and ridiculed him for them. He found that only girls shared his same convictions, so he hung out with mostly girls. You tend to become like the people you hang out with, so he stuck with people who shared his same goals and lifestyle. That didn't make him gay, it made him stronger in his resolve to be a good person.

You are in charge of your life and how it turns out. Your choice in friends has a lot to do with that. If other people get down on you for that, then you just know that you don't want to be friends with anyone who mocks the things that are important to you.

Just hang out with whoever you like, get on more with and feel more relaxed around. Whether be male or female. You know your own sexuality and what anyone else says shouldn't be an issue. I wouldn't be too bothered about what some idiots thought.

The best thing to do is to ignore those who would set themselves up to judge or analyze your friendships. You don't need that.

Find the best people that you want to emulate, or who give you positive energy, and relate to them as your friends.

Good luck!
