I'm sorry, which parable?

it is part of the Words of Christ; Jesus said His Words are Spirit & life (John 6:63); the inspired Paul wrote:

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." - Romans 10:17.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" - 2 Timothy 3:16.

the Holy Spirit works through the Word of God in redemption and sanctification of a person by applying the word to the persons heart:

" For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." - 2 Peter 1:21.

The parable of the sower was a beautiful lesson given by the LORD Jesus Christ concerning the seed (Word) falling on the heart of the good soil (God's elect); how wonderful it must have been to be by the seaside with Jesus:

"The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.

And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; ..."

Matthew 13:1-3.

The Gospel is put out there, and preached. Some will accept it and be saved. Some will seem to accept it, and fall away at some point because they were never real. Some will accept it and be saved, but cares of the world choke out the fruit. And some will reject it completely.

We see that even on YA, with the saved (like me); then the "I used to be a Christian, but...." crowd (which 1 John 2 says, they were NEVER saved in the first place); the ones that say "I'm a Christian, but I don't want to get involved in anything"; and those that reject it altogether (the atheists or the "pagans", for instance).

The seed is going out on tv, radio, newpapers, magazines, internet, cb radios, ham radios, and of course their is a church on every corner in the USA. Now in america not a lot of people are getting saved but in other countries there are thousands getting saved, so all these ways of sowing the seed is haveing a tremendous influence around the world, I think in america hearing the word so much has hardened our hearts to the point the lost don't even go to church anymore so its hard to get them saved. But say in china were the church is underground there are more christians there right now than they are in US.

Because the parable states that all the seeds were scattered by the sewer _ meaning the gospel is being preached or spread "scattered" to every one or everywhere - BUT it depends on the type of ground that it lands on. as the word rightly says some fell by the wayside and were bruned by the sun, others snatched by a raven. falling by the wayside means people who hear the word, start to believe and ackowledge God, but ultimately mess up and say forget it. those snatched by the raven are those caught up in other beliefs - they have heard the word but, other religion sounds better to them, or is more conveinient to their lifestyle. therefore they are snatched - but those that fell on Good ground, are the people that recieved the "seeds" into their lives and allowed it to grow - through sun shine and rain - good times and bad. i hope ive explained it a little better to you - God bless ♥
