You speak many languages, that´s great. I think that knowing other languages than your own, helps you to understand more of other cultures. I speak Swedish, Finnish, English, German, Spanish and French. Like you I also understand a little bit of other languages,as Portuguese and Estonian. Would like to learn for instance Chinese and Russian (languages that already are very useful in the business world).
Allt gott till dej !

English is my native language. My second language is French - I'm nearly fluent in it and learned it all through 4th-11th grade. I tried to learn German by myself when I was 16/17 after becoming obsessed with a German rock group (not Rammstein) then I took it in my last year of high school. I'm pretty sufficient in German. I know a tiny bit of Spanish - random words I picked up online and through a co worker who's native language is Spanish. I know a bit of Japanese (from watching subbed anime) I'm now trying to teach myself Kana as I know the basic words/phrases but I can't write it yet.

I speak English, Urdu and Hindi, fluently. I can understand about 70% of written French and 20% of spoken French. I can understand about 30% of written Arabic and about 45% of Persian. I want to learn Chinese, and in regards to that I am able to phonetically pronounce all of the sounds in Mandarin Putonghua Chinese.
