I know what you mean, I used to LOVE the feeling of hunger..I actually still do.
But the only thing you can do it try to gradually eat and try and feel that happiness if you have the strength to do that or seek professional help because Anorexia is definitely not something you should even try to over come by yourself.

Hey there,

I think you have been brave to face up to this and approach your problem before it gets out of control. I'm no expert in this area, but I think that you should speak to someone really close to you so they can watch out for you and make sure that you don'tlet this feeling lead to a disorder. I also think you should familarise yourself with the fact that anorexia is not going to make your life any better, only worse and that on a superficial level, it is unattractive and unhealthy and not worth it. If you've battled this before then you have the strength to fight it hapening this time. Well done on realising this is a problem, I'm sorry if my response sounds like a cliche but its true. Good luck xx

I know that happiness feeling you talked about after a missed a dinner and often wonder why I bothered with it! The 'in control' feeling is satisfying only for me it's not the starving sensation but the fact that I was not controlled by it to the extent that I used to fall to pieces. I suppose that is not really like being anorexic?

You must seek a "trusted doctor" who will work with you, including referrals to specialists, to help you address your anorexia. If you are not satisfied with all of that help, then read books written by Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Cass Ingram. These two doctors have helped me in a phenomenal way. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace, Love and God Bless.

Anorexics tend to have control issues which is why they gain "happiness" when they're able to control the food that's coming/not coming in their body. You don't have to use food as a way to gain control of your life.

Try to focus on other interests or hobbies (healthy ones) that make you feel happy or give you a sense of a accomplishment. Also, support from friends/family is very important!!!

But never be afraid to see a psychologist or counselor.

Talk it out with a counselor or a good friend. The other advice to eat small meals is a good one. Write down the things you like about yourself, past accomplishments (without going into things that have to do with your body). Do you like to write? Read? Go to movies? Listen to music? Draw? Get out and enjoy yourself while the weather is good. Find other things to occupy your mind. If you still find yourself fixating on being happy because your starving, seek help immediately.

Well dont freak out just yet. Let me start by saying. Your probably at a perfectly natural weight. (most girls are when they feel they have to be anorexic) Next remember food is good when eaten right. You dont have to eat much. Just eat 3 small meals a day until I guess you feel comfotorable. But dont starve yourself, no one can be happy feeling weak, with deteriorating bones. Your body needs food to work like a car. But just know when your full. :)

There is no way you can get over anorexia on your own. You need professional help.
Just try to eat and tell someone who can find you help.

I know this will probably sound a silly idea - but couldn't you even drink fruit smoothies to prevent yourself from being totally starving - they're really good for you and low in fat cos they're just all fruit?
