I am a writer and in my story my main character gets a ruptered appendix, I was wondering if it was possible to be coughing up blood when this happens? I remember watching a show when something like that happened, but I didn't know if that was possible.

Your thoughts and opinions would be greatly welcome! Anything else you know about this situation would help too!

Thanks so much!

No, not really. If untreated and they get peritonitis they are likely to throw up blood and they are more and likely to die from temps at around 106 or so. Usually at that time they are full of tubes and they do bleed a lot. It is a hard death.

If blood were involved it would be at the other end!

Anything can happen in a book though!

Anything is possible but I don't believe it's a symptom of a ruptured appendix.
