15 month shot. I'm trying to think of which round you are talking about...

Anywho. If you qualify, get goverment help, in Texas, it's medicaid.

If you don't qualify, vaccinations offered for free, look online in your area. Some small towns are questionable and you might have to travel but I always get my children's shots for free from a local clinic. Sometimes the lines are long but it saves me $200 most of the time.

Other than that, here comes the lecture, yes I know, shuttup, right but if you gotta pay for those well-baby check ups you need to either pay full price or get some insurance for that baby! He also needs dental and that will cost an arm in the leg. Start investin'!

My final answer:

Punch in "free vaccines / low income" etc. followed by your city. I'm sure you'll find something. If not free, reduced.

Most states offer assistance for children, especially if there is not insurance available. The state health departments usually offer a free shot clinic for children and a running record of the shots for your use when the child goes to school. Most states offer WIC, which is compensation for food, medical treatment and supplies, and other items for children and families that qualify. Look to the state agencies for assistance. This will be your best place to look and probably be the least costly of your other choices.

You cant pay extra for dependents on your plan? Thats how these insurance companies make money. Or is the shot not specifically covered. Although typically preventive care is to some amount.

Most counties have free or reduced monthly clinics for shots...check w/ your county.

You really need to buy some insurance for that little guy...so many things could happen to him, and you will end up filing bankruptcy if you don't have insurance!!

some employers only cover the employee and not their family, if thats what you meant, try to take him to a clinic instead of an actual doctors office or look into state assistance for insurance...it deviates alot from the usual "welfare and food stamps" and can sometimes cover your child 100%.

Free clinic/family planning will be able to take care of him or get him medicaid through the state.

Also, why isn't he covered by your employer? Is it an employee coverage only company or do they offer an employee+child plan?

I know in texas they have like a shots across texas program and you only pay like 7.00 per shot. I also know that they have them done once a month in the WIC office so all your human resourses department and see what they say.
