No... the ball is still in play and catching, palming and tossing the ball is a whistle and a point to the other team.

If you caught a "fal" ball, she's out... in baseball.

Unfortunately in volleyball you are not "supposed" to catch any ball that is still in play, although it looked like it was going out of bound. You can catch it after it touched the floor, and manage a double or triple play if that can make you feel more excited (not so bored :)).

Have fun with all your sports.

I think you mean foul ball? Haha, but that is not how volleyball is played. You can NEVER catch a volleyball no matter where it goes. It if it out of bounds, let it drop, and your team will get the point. If it goes out of bounds and you catch it, that is basically an illegal hand touch and the other team gets the point. Pretty easy if you think about it... just don't catch a volleyball.. ever. ;)

No. That's a point for them. If it touches you, even your shirt or hair, it's their point. (At least those are high school and colelge rules in my state.)
Just let it drop if you KNOW it's out. But if you think it's out but not quite aure, go for it and try your best to hit it to the setter. Better safe than sorry! And listen to your teammates on the court and on the bench also. If you hear all of them scream "Out! Don't touch!" and stuff like that, then stay away lol. But always be prepared and follow the ball :)

Sorry, catching the ball like you did is their point. The call will be point other team, carry your side.
However, according to NHSAA rules, the ball may graze a shirt or hair and not be considered a touch. It's a judgement call for the referee.
