What did you expect from an old KGB officer? Putin is starting it back up. All the whining and pissing and moaning from the American public over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan signals a great opportunity to bring back the Soviet Union.
The Soviet Union's best ally is on the rise here in the US too, the Democratic party. Putin would be a fool to miss his chance at russian hegemony.

No, just British Marxist government uses ol' good scary tactics to cover their dirty work.

Tu-95 don't need to enter British airspace to attack them: they may be equipped with supersonic cruise missiles with range up to 4000 km. Each missile carries 2 independent nuclear warheads.
