I know some religions believe that if you are not one of them, you got a one way ticket to hell, such as Catholics.
Other religions like Buddhism believe that anyone can reach nirvana, regardless of religion.
So what do you guys think is right? And please don't let your religion influence you, just say what YOU think is right.

I am sorry if what i thought about Catholic beliefs or Buddhist beliefs were of.
And people are saying how is it possible for religion to not influence this? Well, I want to see WHAT YOU BELIEVE. can we not all think with just what we feel is right? Or am i wrong, and that the religious text becomes their voice.
Again, i don't want to offend anyone, I just want to see what people have to say.

Okay, just answer the question i guess. Ignore the details because some people might find it insulting or against their beliefs to do so. And I apologize to anyone i offended, if i offended anyone. :( Question still remains though!

absolutely not.

when you think about it more deeply youll realize that there are countless billions (if not more) that are in hell for simply not believing.

the judeo-christian religions arent that old...the human race is alot older than them...so you can imagine all the people being unfairly tortured.

now if you beleive ingod and youre reading this...does that make sense to you? do you think its fair that the people who came and died before christianity was invented are in your hell being tortured for not beleiving?

if you think thats okay...then i strongly reccomend seeking psychological attention. post haste.

You should refrain from such generalities. I am Catholic, and do not believe you should have a one way ticket to Hell just because of not being Catholic. I think it is your personal decision.

I am thankful these things are not for me to judge, but for God alone to make that call. So I should not and could not make a decision who will or who will not travel into Hell.

In my opinion:
I do not believe in Buddhism as a religion.

Put praise be to God for making the corn!

May God Bless you and keep you in His Mercy.

I think we will all be judged by who and what we were in life, not necessarily what religion we were. I don't believe in the same hell as most other Christians do. I think hell is a state of mind, not an actual place. It's not being the presence of God. But I also think that God won't put us somewhere we didn't want to go in this life. So if you didn't want to know about Christ or accept Christ, that's fine, you won't have to be with Him in the life to come. If you did believe in Christ, and wanted a place with Him, then that option is open for you.

Here is what I think is right.

People do not go to Hell just because they do not know the Christian religion. They go to Hell because they are sinful. If they are Christians, then they accept the free offer of foregiveness from Jesus and His righteousness is counted as our righteousness. If they do not accept Jesus, then they are judged by their own actions. However, since Man is tainted by sin to the core of his being, he can never make himself right with God and as such suffers the penalty accordingly.

Orthodox Buddhism often teaches that only a Buddhist can reach nirvana, but many buddhists in the west have different ideas (which is fine really - I'm just pointing it out).

(buddhists with a small "b" as apposed to Buddhists with s big "B" - or philosophical Buddhism as apposed to religious Buddhism)

I BELIEVE: I can't except the notion that God "sends" anyone to hell. I think the people who go to hell will do so because that's where they want to be. I've spoken to many people who say "I can't follow a God who would ______". For these people, staying in heaven for eternity would be worse than hell! They would have to deal with God 24/7/365 (or whatever the heavenly equivelent is). For them, going to hell would be a merciful alternative.

2 Peter 3:9...The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understnad slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

I DONT BELIEVE: that God sends people to hell. Each individual makes that choice all by themselves. If they choose to turn their back on God, then to hell they will go. That is why He gave us the freedom of choice.

I think if you dont believe in it is isnt possible. So, if i believe that if you are tardy for school or work you will get one wart on your butt for each hour you missed, so i was never late, and i never got one, does that mean i wouldve if i had been late? Does that mean you will get one when you are late? No. Its something i believe in, not you. Doesnt effect you at all. All because a group of people say something is going to happen doesnt make it true, no matter how adamant they are about it.

I believe in God's mercy- that He wouldn't damn one of His children, simply because they didn't get a chance to hear about His Son....

I feel that there has been a way arranged for everyone to hear about and accept Jesus before the Final Judgement....

Maybe that "second chance" is like a school... which some may feel really is hell... ;)

World Religions are Satan's number one way of dooming the souls of those who belong to them..What does Jesus say? Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes in me shall never see death.
He that believes in me and the works that I do, shall he do also, greater works than these shall he do because I go unto my Father..
Jesus says, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life and NO ONE comes to the Father but BY ME!
So here we have a few sayings of Christ and you will be surprised by how many religions and religious people will denies His Words. He also said, "You must be Born Again."
For those who are born once they shall die twice and the second death is in the Lake of fire. But those who are born twice shall but die only once and never experience physical or spiritual death ever again..

You do not go to hell for not being of a specific religion.
All have sinned and all have fallen short of the glory of God.
Jesus paid the penalty of death for all who accept the atonement others will be judged acoording to their works and no man is perfect but God.
The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus.
Jesus is the way and truth and the life and no man comes to the Father but through the Son.
Jesus provides the way for sinful man to be rejoined to a prefect righteous God.

Catholics don't believe that.

Catholics believe that many religions are valid paths to God. Of course we believe ours is the closest to God's Will, but salvation is certainly possible from many paths.
