im pretty fit.....what color should it be colored in?

Since you have darker skin I suggest you get the major lines colored in black and the rest definitely should be colored in so it could stand out more.
As for a spot...if you're a fit woman Maybe somewhere Torso/pelvic or near the collarbone.

You could put that anywhere and color just about any color.
Depending on how dark you are and how well you're skin will take the color depends on what will look good.

I'm assuming you mean placement,
not location of Tattoo Shop...
The shoulder is good placement,
for people with darker skin. It is
usually a lighter area than the arms,
or the legs. Go with the lighter shades
of gold, yellow, or blue. Your artist will
help answer all your questions...
