true sense. For an atheists to claim that there is no God, you are claiming to be all knowing which either would make you god and defeat your own premise or you would be lying, because there is simply no way you can know that.To say that there is no God requires absolute knowledge. Knowledge of not only our four known and understood dimensions but all the higher dimensions as well and that would be simply impossible for a three dimensional creature such as your-self's. However, If you had absolute knowledge then yes God would exist, because you would be God like I've previously said. On the other hand, to say that there is a God only requires personal experience or an understanding that the design in creation warrants a designer. But ultimately there really can only be two types of people, believers and agnostics.

It is obvious that no one could ever prove atheism to be true, for it is impossible to prove a universal negative. In fact, there is such overwhelming evidence of designed order and complexity in the universe, especially in the marvelous structures of living organisms, that one must exercise an enormous amount of credulity to make himself believe that it all just happened! Atheists, who call themselves scholars, could lead one down this path. The Bible says that those who deny creation are "without excuse" (Romans 1:20). Please understand, faith is not blind acceptance of things we know nothing about, but it is built on the evidence of God's Word and works.

Your question is overly technical. As a philosophical matter, it is impossible to be absolutely sure of any proposition (such as "I am now typing on my computer"). As a practical matter, one must decide what to believe (subject to revision).
As a philosophical matter, the proposition "God exists" is unfalsifiable. (It is provable---a manifestation of God the Supreme Being in public would go a long way toward providing proof.) As a practical matter, it doesn't seem necessary to worry about a supernatural entity for which there is no reliable evidence. Do you have any practical opinion about whether, say, Zeus exists? Does it matter? Are you a Zeus agnostic or a Zeus atheist?

Agnostics refuse to say whether they believe one way or another. Atheists are strong in their convictions. They proudly stand up and say, "given all evidence, I believe that there is no such thing as a higher power"
Bear in mind, this does not mean that atheists say that the existence of a higher power is impossible. It merely means that they take the position that one does not exist until there is evidence.

Agnostics claim either that it is not possible to have absolute or certain knowledge of the existence or nonexistence of God or gods; or, alternatively, that while individual certainty may be possible, they personally have no knowledge. Agnosticism in both cases involves some form of skepticism
Athiest dont believe in god at all.

it's all a label, most people don't really lay out the flow charts everytime they open thier mouth. it's all rather sloppy and little understood. Most christians doubt God; aren't they agnostics too if unsure. they don't go to church they figure god is whatever they want him to be, they can smoke a lil, drink some, tell some guy off (he deserved it) and so on, go to church maybe on holidays, they feel free to call themselves whatever they want. Only other option is for you to walk around and tell everybody what they are. But really what do you know about me. Right now about 10 sentences away from nothing.

Technically you are correct. Since we can't prove a negative then we should be agnostic. But the problem is that you would then have to be agnostic about everything - Judiasm, Christianity, Hinduism, Scientology, Big Foot, The Loc Ness Monster, UFO's ... the list goes on forever.
I prefer to think of myself as an open-minded atheist. I'll believe in any and everything if I am only given proof.

Agnostics feel that they cannot believe in God until they see proof of his existance. Atheists feel that even with "proof" of God's existance, they would not believe that he is real. It's a small difference, but it's kind of a big deal.

Atheists are sure, Agnostics aren't. I practice Pagan things so I believe in something, but I'm Agnostic because I always have my doubts.

Correct - agnostics are people who aren't sure. Atheists are people who know what they don't believe. They don't believe in God. That doesn't change the fact that Christians believe that they are made in God's image.....(!)

They think the term makes them sound smarter/more decisive.
When in fact, the opposite is true.
Some are blending the two terms and creating what they call weak atheism to make their flock larger. Just like a church would do.

Should everyone be agnostic, then? Maybe we should all be agnostic about the orbiting teapot that created the universe? I'm sure God has antlers.
