I will be moving more than 45 miles away from my work once we get married. I tried to convece him we need in the middle of his work and mine but he is 15 miles from his. Now I need a car. He said he would buy me one. I have looked at one under 4000.00. I dont even bring home 800.00 a month from work.So should I let him buy it for me or wait and save up the money?

If he is willing to let him get it for you. You are marrying the guy anyways so you will share finances and everything else for that matter. My fiancee offered to buy me a new car and make the payments on it but I dont need a car yet so I wouldnt let him :) but if you need it let him get it for you and save your extra money for future expenses.

If you are only bringing home $800 per month, and will be driving 90 miles a day round trip, you need to find a job closer to home!

You will be driving 1800 mile a month just back and forth to work! if you get 20 MPG and gas is $2.75 a gallon, you will be paying almost $250 in gas to make $800. You will be working for $550 per month net.

This does not take into account the wear and tear on a car!

It sounds like you two need to work some things out before marriage!

Honestly, this is something that the two of you need to work out for yourselves. You need to sit down and talk about your finances with your soon-to-be. This is part of the marriage process. You need to figure out what kind of couple you are going to be.. are you going to be the couple that each person has their own money, own bank account, pays seperate parts of the bills. Or are you going to have "our" money that combines and maybe just have little seperate savings accounts to yourself. If youre going to "combine" your money and use it jointly then it wouldnt be "your fiance buying you a car" it would be "we're going to buy a car that I use for work". This really isnt something that can be decided by strangers. You need to sit down, discuss how the finances will work, discuss what you can afford and go from there.

Maybe he is cheating on you... or you are really hot... if you were really hot, or if I was cheating on you, I would buy you a car.

I bought one of my baby mommas a car to keep her from filing chile suppote on me... took her 4 years but when she did, I repoed the car. She was a big girl so I didn't want to be seen in public with her.

It was an old POS so I didn't really care.

I'm sure your fiance is wonderful, but it sounds to me like you need a better paying job and a man who is more geographically desireable.
If not, then ask him to put the car in your name.
