"thy kingdom come" could be interpreted as the millenium (1000 yrs of peace) or the kingdom within us. i forgot where its written, but in one of the epistles, i think, it says 'the kingdom of God is within you". so, it could mean something in terms of 'make me holy'
"thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven" --heaven is a place of the righteousness. everyone does God's will. now here on earth, .. not many, lets just say that. so when you say that, you pray that the people start doing God's will. i think that should explain it.

+ Thy Kingdom come,
+ thy will be done,
+ on earth as it is in heaven.
God's kingdom. Jesus often said that God's power would appear and renew all creation. God like a mighty king would rule over the earth according to a plan that unfolds from the beginning of the world. God's kingdom would be marked by peace and justice. Good would be rewarded and evil punished. The kingdom, according to Jesus, is not far off, but already present in our midst, though not yet revealed.
In the Lord's Prayer we pray that God's kingdom come, that God's will, which is for our good, be done on earth as it is in heaven.
With love in Christ.

when we ask that the Father's kingdom should come, we are "asking God to manifest the power and glory of his kingdom in us and throughout our world." When we ask for God's will to be done here on earth, we acknowledging that He will not grant prayers that will contradict His will. In praying this way, the focus should move away from ourselves and toward others

It means that those who already enjoy the presence of the Holy Spirit in their souls manifest the kingdom of God on the earth by striving to do God's will ... just as those who are already in heaven invariably do.

In my understanding, "thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven", means we are to do the will of God as it is done in Heaven. In the Heavenly realm, when God says something, it is done, immediately. There is no questioning, wondering if it is God's will, seeking advice, hesitation, His will is done. I think it is Christ's prayer that His followers would do likewise.

My Bible says thy Kingdom come, thy will by done, on earth as it is in Heaven, to me Jesus is just say that things will be done on earth as God planned as they are done in Heaven as God Plans. Now we know that The Bibles says today that Jesus is coming soon to Rapture his Church and take us all back to Heaven with him. Thy Kindgom come. Of course while Jesus was here the Kindgom was here and once he died on the cross we now can have the Kingdom of God within us. If we accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour his Holy Spirit will live inside our hearts. To accept Jesus as Lord we need only to say a simple Prayer if we believe, Just say Dear Jesus I just pray right now that you forgive me of all my sins and come into my heart and save me. I believe that you came to earth and died on a cross, and then rose from the grave the third day to be a perfect sacrifice for my sins. I willingly give my life to you and promise to serve you with all my heart. Please make me one of your children in the name of Jesus I pray Amen... If you Prayed this Prayer with a sincere heart truly believing in Jesus you are now a child of the King. Praise the Lord, If you have any questions please feel free to send me an email, May God Bless You

This means you want to submit your will to the will of God. Your asking God to do his will in you. Our own wills are worth nothing if not in conjunction with our Heavenly Fathers. As St. Alphonsus says, "it would be the greatest delight of the seraphs to pile up sand on the seashore or to pull weeds in a garden for all eternity, if they found out such was God's will." If you get a chance try to read "Uniformity to Gods Will" by St. Alphonsus Ligouri.

This means that I want God's will to be done in my life as well as it is done in Heaven. Easier said than done, but we have the Holy Spirit within us for guidance and strength.

we aren't really supposed to pray this pray because it's a model prayer but what He is saying is that God's will(plan) be done on Earth as God has for us in Heaven.

Man as manifestation of God has an unlimited destiny. His work is to consciously express the abstract ideas that God supplies to him. Man in himself is a individualized creating consciousness, "there exist as many universes as individuals, which are conceived by the only fact of thinking them".
"Thy Kingdom come" is our mission to manifest God's ideas in the material planes. If we just discover the plan that He/She has individually outlined for us and accomplish it all doors would open before us, all obstacles would vanish, and in consequence we would enjoy happiness, success, money and all of the Father's virtues. We must harmonize ourselves to that end with God's Superior Will because in His/Her Will is our Peace.
