depends on room size and state of walls.....i normally would expect between £250-£300 for the average room of 3.5 x 3.5 and 2.4 high and that would be for materials thrown in

If you do it yourself which is easy because we did it, just go to Menards or Home Depot, etc and get a bucket of plaster. Then get a plaster tool and if you want it to have a design, get a design tool with teeth. They come in different sized teeth edges for different looks. Put the plaster on and then swash it with the decorating teeth tool. Do a section at a time so it doesn't dry before you decorate. My sister used a wet ocean sponge on hers and dabbed it so that it made a design on her plaster. It looks very good.

Depends on the size of the room. I was quoted 450 quid for my living room which is 16'4" by 15' 6". My sons thought it was extortionate and decided to have a go themselves. They did it for the total price of 140 quid which covered the cost of the plaster and buying of tools. It looks fantastic now. If you are quite handy have a go yourself, otherwise it could be very expensive.
