Do you think he was crying because he knew that one day he too would die and be placed in a tomb like his friend?

Jesus raised the fully dead for four days Lazarus to show all that He Jesus has the Divine Power of granting life and raising all dead who have faith in our God. Jesus even raised Himself up from his physical death on the cross just as He said He easily could. "Destroy this body and presently I will raise it up again."

Jesus wept for many complex reasons that unspiritual humans can not much comprehend.

One reason Jesus cried was the agony he knew that Lazarus would have in being delayed in ascending up into a much better, next higher Heaven ! Lazarus thus had to remain back down on earth longer (he later died again here at age 67) and to be a Jewish persecuted living witness of Jesus Christ's Divine Power of Life.

Jesus is fully Powerful to draw you up and save you too !
Read and believe John 12:32 "...I will draw all humans up to Me."

Jesus' was weeping for Lazarus' sisters, Martha and Mary, and the pain that they were experiencing. Jesus knew that he was about to raise Lazarus from the dead. Jesus suffers our pain with us. He wept over the city of Jerusalem too. He knew the great suffering they would suffer because they hadn't known that He was their King. Even though It was hid from them inorder for prophecy to be fulfilled, Jesus felt the pain that lay ahead for them. He is compassionate.

Why does anybody cry at a funeral, or when they hear the news that a good friend has died?

Jesus was here on Earth to give us the perfect example of how we should behave. He experienced all the we experience, yet He did not sin.

It makes sense that he experienced the loss of someone close to him, showing us that it is OK to be troubled and upset, but also showing us that we always have God to rely on so we can carry on.

Would you weep if friend died? It is natural unless you are a very hard person. The Bible say that Jesus loved Lazarus. Jesus was a very compassionate person, in everything he showed love, even in the death of his friend.

I don't think Jesus cried for Lazarus because He was going to raise Him up. Nor for Himself because He knew He too would rise up.

The cry was for the very cause of all human suffering and death - "The wages of sin is death". (Romans 6:23)

Luke sixteen:19-31 It doesnt extremely particularly state that Lazarus believed in Christ. the ethical of the story is greater approximately not letting greed and riches of the international get interior the way of your eternal salvation. it is likewise approximately peoples ability to open their hearts to hearken to and settle for the gospel. the prosperous guy begs for his brothers to be waiting to hearken to the gospel from Lazarus and Abraham tells him hi in the event that they arent going to have faith the Prophets then they arent going to have faith some guy basically through fact he got here back from the lifeless. it extremely is a rather effective assertion, too, imo, through fact its announcing that while you're extremely worth of heaven then you would be waiting to locate the reality without miracles being accomplished top previously your eyes. The testimony and words of the Prophets could desire to be sufficient. edit Fatima i myself trust you. Mormons dont interpret hell in this tale to be the eternal damnation, yet a place of waiting to watch for judgment and we've faith that's obtainable to leave this place even previously judgment..

No. He was crying because He loved Lazarus. He was a dear friend of His, and who wouldn't cry when someone we love dies?

Not particularly.

We know this by the surrounding scriptures....

33 When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. 34"Where have you laid him?" he asked. "Come and see, Lord," they replied.
35 Jesus wept.
36 Then the Jews said, "See how he loved him!"
