You canNOT put any flea powder on those kittens until they are at least six weeks old. At this point, you just go through their fur and kill any fleas you can. You can also buy a flea comb, and that will speed up the process, but you've gotta squish them fast! Once they hit six weeks you can start powdering them.

If the Momma is letting you touch them maybe you can help. When my two cats had a litter each at the same time I bought HARTZ 2 in 1 Rid flea carpet powder and put in on the carpets and the mommas. You can't put it on the kittens until they are 12 weeks old but if the momma and the carpet around them has it they will eventually die off. Keep the beddiong that you keep the kittens in as clean as possible. Wash it daily if you can. I might also try to keep them in a box of sorts or even the bathtub if you have an extra. Hope that helps a little. If you get the carpet stuff make sure you read the directions. If you follow them pretty close to perfectly it should help.

Not one good answer so far, for the following reasons:
1) Don't even bother trying to comb fleas out - fleas combs are for diagnosis, not treatment of fleas, and for combing out fleas dirts. You'll be combing for the rest of your life doing it this way.
2) NEVER use ANY petshop/supermarket products on animals of any age! The majority don't work, and many are toxic! Hartz is one of the worst, this is fairly well known - stay well away.
Go to your vet for some proper flea treatment. You can get Frontline SPRAY (not drops), as this is safe for use on kittens and puppies from 2 days of age. It is the only safe product I know of for kittens this young.
Oh, and indoor cats and kittens also get fleas, it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the mother going outside.

The kittens have fleas because you allow the mother cat to go outside while they are all sleeping.
I had this same thing happen once with a cat who gave birth to 7 kittnes. I spoke with a Vet. and he said the kittens could not have any flea powder on them until they were 6 weeks old.
I got tired of the fleas and every day I put just a little bit on them and that stopped the fleas and the kittens were fine.

well don't let them outside and give them a flea shot but if your gonna keep all of them it'll be preety expensive!but you can't give them flea shots when they're 7months or younger cuz it might hurt them.you can give them away after they're about finished getting nursed from the mother kitten cuz a newborn kitten needs the milk.

6 to8 weeks not before that. PETCO has flea wipes little towels that you can wipe the kitty with and a flea collar or medication for the MOM. I just took care of a litter in my yard and went through that.
Good luck....they must be really cute

My cat had 6 kttens in our hallway on the carpet... thankfully we were about to tear it up! they should be about five weeks old and if they have flees then take em to the vet! Most people want kittens so they will probably go fast. Bring them to your school and see if anyone wants them, AFTER the have flees
