I am going roller blading tomorrow afternoon - I only go once a month with some friends and it's really fun! But I am ALWAYS in pain about half way through up till we leave because of nasty blisters I get. I'm not sure exactly how to prevent myself from getting them tomorrow??

I used to be in the army and I would have the same problem on ruck marches. I used something called mole skin the the areas I would normally get a blister and it worked for me for many miles. You can find it near band aides at the store.

If you're getting blisters on your feet, it's probably because the skates don't fit quite right. Maybe you're wearing socks that are too thick. I had a similar problem with ice skates. Now I use a much thinner sock (skated barefoot for a while, but that gets nasty) and a smaller skate. Either way, as stated above Moleskin works awesome. I've never used the bodyglid lotion so I don't know about that. Moleskin will be either by the band aids or with the shoe insoles. Use moleskin as opposed to molefoam which is thicker but less comfortable. Before applying the moleskin, try to make sure the area is as clean and dry as possible so it adheres better.
Have fun!!!

I love rollerblading as well, it is a lot of fun! To prevent blisters you should make sure that you are wearing a right size of blades it is very important and also wear some cotton socks, not too thick and also try the higher cut
