The magnet that I am working with is a Samarium Cobalt magent. It is dole shaped with dimensions 0.25 inches by 0.25 inches. I am attempting to find out how close the samarium cobalt magnet can come to a pacemaker (which cannot have a >5 G field).

26 MegaOe works out to be 2600 Gauss in air.

B [Gauss] = mu0 * H

mu0 = 4*pi*10^-7 [Weber /(Amp*meter)]

1 [Oersted] = 10^3 / 4*pi [Amp/meter]

so...
(26*10^6) * (10^3 / 4pi) * (4pi*10^-7) = 2600 Gauss

And thats up close... the flux density would obviously drop as you get away from the thing.

You should be OK.
