No. You can have "faith" in a lot of things, that doesn't make it a diety.

When people affirm, "There is only one God" they affirm a belief not an entity in reality, no matter how much they say that God is "real" to them.
Notice the difference in this statement when people say, "Two plus two makes four," or in this one, "This is my book." These statements are affirmations of reality and truth. They have nothing to do with faith.
We do not need to have Faith in the existence of a book, or in the result of counting two plus two. We use faith, instead of reason, only as an emotion of comfort. Faith is the wish that reality is or does what we wish. That is why people with faith CREATE their own truth and their own reality.
In reality, everyone knows that he is an atheist, but most people hate reality because they were taught fairy tales as truths when they were children and now can't let go of fantasy, which is so much more emotionally comforting.
There are only atheists in the world. Only a few, however, face reality and are honest enough to admit it.

Possibly, but not necessarily.
I have faith that my heart is beating and that my lungs are expanding and contracting, without my willing it. Do I worship my heart and lungs? No! But I don't deny the truth of them.
On the other hand, how many people believe that money is real, that it exists, and who end up having such faith in the monetary system that they become slavish worshippers of Mammon? Yet money is only an idea! It's not real! It's just a pretend system that we all go along with. (There are bits of paper printed with $ signs but they're just bits of paper, coins that we call 'money' but they're just amalgums of metals, and gold bars that are, well, gold!) Yet billions of people sacrifice their lives to the pursuit of this non-entity, living for it, dying for it. So, because they think money is true and real and have total faith in it, it becomes their god. So there's an example that proves your point - do you agree?

Theres One God.There is one spirit of God, if you have Faith in that spirit then it will guide and direct you, so the answer is No.if you have the spirits guidance, the spirit will show you truth.not you.if you thinks its you.if you have misguided Faith. then the Prince of the power of the air will influence your thoughts.
if you don't have your faith in the right place, then your lost.forever. there's only one place to have Faith and that's in God thru the spirit.the spirit is a real force that can be called on for direction.listen when you pray and you will hear the voice of the spirit within.then try your best to do Gods will and you will go to heaven one fine day.since you will be connected to the spirit it will then be able to lead you to heaven. if your not connected then it cant, just ask and you shall receive.I wish you the best on your spiritual journey my friend.

I do not concern myself with gods and spirits either good or evil nor do I serve any.
At the centre of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.
The power of intuitive understanding will protect you from harm until the end of your days.
The words of truth are always paradoxical.

No. I can believe that oompa loompas are real and created the universe, but that doesn't make it true. There is absolute truth. Our faith should have truth as its object, not the other way around. That is, we don't create truth by having faith but we have faith in what is true.

You seem like a tender heart.
I believe truth is an absolute, not a relative thing. There is an absolute truth. What is truth to me, or to you, may or may not be this absolute truth.
Anything can become a god, but there is only one God.
Take care.

yes - to have without a doubt faith in a particular thing /object/person would make it an idol to you, and yes idols are gods. but the Lord of Lords said "thou shalt have no other gods before me" Have faith in God, who created heaven and earth - not idols who have done nothing unless god gave them breath to do so. â¥

Actually, the Bible says that, exactly. That is why we makes "things" our gods. Most Americans have made themselves there own gods.
I personally serve the God of heaven and earth. I depend on Him to take care of me. When I was in the world, I thought I was taking care of myself. If you think about it though.......... can you make your own air to breath?
God is good!
