Employers do not appreciate their employees anymore. They will hire for PT or maybe allow you to work 39 hours instead of the 40, so that they do not have to pay benefits. Here in Ohio, if you do not average $200.00 a week, you cannot draw unemployment either. Thereby saving the employer money again. Wonder where they think they would be, without their employees?

and just when you get a nondisposable job people decide your pay is too high and you are disposed of. welcome to corporate america where perfecting the line "do you want to supersize that" is a valuable work skill.

not in decades. people have to go above and beyond the call of duty to not be seen as dispoable...and even then its no guarantee. That is probably how productivity keeps climbing...people don't want to lose what they have....... man, I need a cheeseburger!

I hear ya. There are but they are all taken :-(. Job security is one of my biggest concerns. It is so stressful wondering if you will have a job today or tomorrow.
