For all of your apelike abilities? These opposable thumbs are indispensible. I'd personally like to thank all of my apelike ancestors for my ability to walk upright and to grip the handles on my motorcycle. Thank you so much!

Samuel, have you ever been to a circus? Chimpanzees do that all the time.

Pattschool, sacrificing knowledge for the sake of religion is not very honorable or honest.

No1home2day, you have gone way beyond arrogant into delusinal. Are you not commanded to be humble?

Yep. I'm also grateful for the pattern-recognition skills and complex speech abilities. It's pretty much those three things that distinguish (but certainly not separate) us from the rest of the animal kingdom.

Well, I am a reasonably good tree climber, but that is all I have in common with apes. I can also grip the handles of a motorcycle quite well, but no ape I know of has the ability to both grip the handles and ride in and out of the sunset.

From the way you talk, I feel fairly certain that you're right, and that your father is, indeed, a monkey!

But for myself, I was created in the image of God, higher than the animals, but a little lower than the angels, with a soul and spirit, and the ability to think, reason, understand right from wrong, the ability to make moral choices, and the ability to create (not on the same level as God, of course, but I certainly enjoy listening to one of Bach's creations, or Mozart's, for example).

Good luck walking upright. I'm sure your back won't hurt too long from stooping over all the time, and I hope you have some skin left on your knuckles from dragging them on the ground all the time.

Oh, Shaun, Shaun, Shaun....you don't owe your thumbs to an ape ancestor.....now if you have a fuzzy long tail,,,,I could be wrong....maybe you are a real ape and just don't know it.....you may be the missing link...wouldn't you make atheists happy if you could turn out to be their missing link?...they really need help on that fraudulent theory

I got my thumbs from my Heavenly Father.

Thumbs are even more important in this age of video game consoles.

Yep, I'm a very Grateful Deadhead and proud to be a monkey's uncle.

It's funny looking at the responses on here but it also scares me that many people don't understand Science yet still comment on it.

I'm a little bitter about losing my prehensile tail. It really would come in handy next time I'm attacked by ninjas.
