Not all spirits are able to remain, even if they want to.
Or so I've heard.
Congrats & best wishes on your upcoming marriage.

You are not a fool for believing in the afterlife but to think that you can contact your Dad is just wrong. Sorry. I am so sorry for your loss but you should NOT be trying to "contact" your Dad or any dead person.Don't compound your problem by throwing open the door for Satan to come in .
May GOD Bless you and your new husband !!!
Your Heavenly Father will be right there with you all the way if you ask HIM to.

I'm sorry to hear about the death of your father. I, too, recently lost my father. He was 93 years old when he died.
Sadly, however, the dead have no communication with the living, according to the Bible. I refuse to comment where your father is spending eternity. I hope it is with God in heaven, just as I HOPE my own father is in heaven. I'll find out when I get there.
Do you have a close "father-figure", a mentor or an older man who has been there for you during these difficult times? Perhaps he could walk you down the isle instead of your father?
I sure pray that this doesn't put a damper on your wedding. I pray it will be a time of great joy and celebration.
And let me say congratulations on your up and coming wedding :-)
As far as knowing for sure where he is spending eternity, just make sure YOUR heart is right with God (through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for our sins) so that you can go to heaven and hopefully see him there.

Hi Lolo. I cant give you any definite answer here but let me tell you of my experience.
Two years ago my grandfather died, after battling dementia.
He was old but I still found it hard to watch because of his confusion and the stress it caused him. He waited for my grandmother to come to him and passed away in her arms.
I missed him so very much in the beginning. Even now it brings a tear to my eyes.
During the weeks following his death I had some very strange dreams. I don't usually remember my dreams, but the ones I had about my grandad were not only very "real" but also very profound. I wont go into detail but I will say this.
During one of my dreams I asked my grandad to give me some sort of sign that my dreams were more than just that.
Four times in the intervening years I have heard him speak, extremely clearly and directly in my ear. Each time he has said the same thing. He just says my name. The feeling of relief I get, and the peaceful "aura" that seems to permeate the room leaves me in absolutely no doubt that he is sometime with me.
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your dad and I wish you all the very best in your new marriage.

You father is with you for the rest of your life in many many ways. He lives on in your memories, and his genes course through your veins. Whether or not he is looking down upon you from an afterlife is not important. Thinking of him is what matters. And if you wish, talk to him. You will be amazed how it makes you feel, and you can literally have a conversation. You know him well enough to know how he will reply.
And some day, you may look down on his future grandchild, and see him all over again.
God Bless!

Sorry to learn of your father's death and congratulations on your wedding.
Unfortunately none of our loved ones who have died can contact us. The Bible does not teach that people go to heaven or to hell or continue to live after their death. "For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing..." (Eccl. 9:5)
If you have watched those TV programs where people ask questions to the psychics (mediums) who supposedly bring messages from their loved ones, you would be wondering if they are really their loved ones. Let me tell you, they are spirit beings or evil spirits that masquerade as the dead loved ones - "For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles..." (Rev. 16:14). Since they know all about the dead person, they can tell many things about him/her as well as their family members and can even appear in their forms to the psychics so they can describe them to you. If they are really the dead loved ones why can't they appear directly to those they left behind? Because these psychics establish a connection with these evil spirits and are their followers/agents in a sense. That is why.

First of all, I'm sorry for your loss. Second, congratulations on your upcoming wedding.
Now, if you are thinking of your Dad when you walk down the isle and imagine how filled with pride and love he'd be - how much more of his presence could anyone hope for? He'll always be there as long as you keep him there.

You are not a fool for thinking in afterlife. God created us with a soul that does not cease to exist at the time of death. If your father trusted Jesus and followed His instructions regarding repent from sin and accepting Jesus as his saviour your father is experiencing a happy afterlife.
However, your father can not contact you. You can meet him again in the future if you follow Jesus instructions.
God bless you.

No reason to feel like a fool, but surely communication from the dead wouldn't be so easy if there were an afterlife. Just continue to enjoy your life as your dad would have wanted and he will be with you always.
Congrats.

I'm sorry he won't be there in person. Have you any friends who have dads that almost died? But some how were physically saved. Brought back before death that is? Ask them what was the last thought on their mind...
Your children is how you can feel your fathers presence.
Some have spoken of dreams that's all I can say...

There is an afterlife, be sure of that. Your soul lives on, it never ceases. However, there is no physical connection between this life and the afterlife. The Bible is clear of that. Anything funny going on with certain "spirits" is not what you think it is, and not what popular opinion says it is. Trust me. It is only the demons that are trying to fool you into thinking otherwise. Your dad's spirit can never reach across the chasm that exists between this life and the next. The Bible is perfectly clear of this.
