I didn't say that I think YOU think it's creepy. I'm saying that the way you talk about it creeps me out.

Sexual repression is common in Christianity. They believe that only sex in marriage is a-ok.Some go a step further and suggest that only sex for the purpose of procreation is a-ok but only if it is done while married to the person you're trying to make a kid with. This is a cultural thing that stemmed from the Jewish laws of the Old Testament which were meant to increase the Jewish population at a time when numbers really mattered. It has some how translated into a culture of sexual repression of sex being a no-no unless it fits certain criteria. When sex has so many rules, naturally sexual repression can result.Though not all Christians are repressed.Usually it is the more fundamental ones who think obeying every rule is necessary even when those rules have very little meaning in modern society.Sexuality should be embraced, but they want to take sexuality back a few centuries right along with every other stride that we have accomplished all in the name of self righteousness.

Once it is explained, I guess it does sound creepy, doesn't it?

Because we believe in marriage instead of sleeping around with a different man every night? That is what's creepy?
We believe the bible and in 1 Timothy 3:2 says that a spiritual man should be a husband of one wife. So we recommend marriage as a way to live.
1timothy 4:2 we believe that clerics who forbid you to marry are false religion.
1 corinthians 7:2 says that because of the prevalence of fornication a man and women should be married.
Not depriveing each other of sex.
There is a scripture that says a man should be in estacy with his own wifes breasts. I would hardly call that being a prude.
People have some funny ideas about Christians. The family arrangement and sex was started by God for mankind as a gift. We have automatically people who love us, a family is a caring institution.

Who said we do? Why do non-Christians think they have us figured out just so they can ask these questions and blow off steam?

Sex is not bad, evil, dirty, or anything similar, nor do we regard it as such. We know it's something created by God to be enjoyed by a man and a woman in marriage. That's the way it was designed and created, and that's the way it should be enjoyed.

We disagree with fornication, which is sex outside of marriage (against the Bible), but know full-well that it exists.

Do you make the idea of God sound creepy?

Some churches have historically put a stigma to sex, but most Christians now see through this ruse.

God created sex. God also said all his creation is good.

It is man who perverts things, whether sex or anything else.

So if you have the idea it is creepy, it didn't come from God or true Christianity.

And really, what else can you do to have so much fun, and you don't have to get all dressed up for it?

I am a devout Christian, and I don't think sex is creepy, nor do I act like its creepy.
And guess what! Wow, you are gonna really find this to be a real trip - I don't teach my kids that its creepy either! Wow!

What the hell is the matter with you? Speak
for yourself or your own creepy parents.
God designed these bodies to enjoy sex and Christians enjoy sex just like the rest of humanity. Just because we don't jump and hump every single thing that moves, regardless of sex or animal type, doesn't mean we don't like sex. Get a grip and grow up.

I don't really know what you mean by creepy. if you mean that Christians teach that you should remain virgin until marriage and have only one partner that is true. But the book Red Hot Manogomy is written by Christians and is all about how married people can have fulfilling sex lives together.

Sex is a great thing only in the context of marriage. Outside of that is against God.

I had sex before marriage and although it felt good at the time, it never felt right. I wasn't a christian yet either.

Natural science (not just religion) reveals to us that the purpose of sexuality is to create life. This is the primary reason that men and women have sexual organs. The pleasureable aspect of sex is secondary. Religion teaches us that there is nothing on earth more sublime and sacred than the creation of human life, for it is from human life united with God that the awareness and realization of beauty, virtue, and holiness flows. When you combine natural science with religion you come to the conclusion that it is important for us to keep the creation of life primary and pleasure secondary in our understanding of human purpose. Sex shops, pornography, contraception and other forms of sexual immorality invert the relationship between creation and pleasure, making pleasure the primary and sole purpose of sex. What is "creepy", in the sense of unhealthy, is this inversion. Sex that respects God's natural design is not creepy at all.

Because according to some sex is an act that should be conducted between those that are married. It scares unmarried Christians from giving into temptation and sinning.
