and they're praying for the exact opposite thing that the other person wants, does god even have to do anything? either way, one person is gonna get what they want and the other person is gonna be let down? doesn't it just make sense to do nothing?

Thats why the idea of prayer as defined by Christians is a bunch of hog wash....

Prayer works because it is a way of tapping in to a spiritual energy, that i believe God made, that allows you to have an effect on the outcome of things.. God could care less if you get a job or win the ball game... Its such crap...

I'm curious,are you really wanting to know?They are to pray one for the other,so both will have their prayers answered.If you believe in your heart the prayer will be answered in Gods time...

God is much greater than our puny minds and He can answer each prayer, but it doesn't have to be at the same time. God does care about those who pray and expect Him to answer.

That is why I believe God does not truely answer prayer. If he/she did it would be true chaos here on Earth!
