I don't think it's a good idea to just approach people to share about Jesus. It's comes across soo poorly. As a current Christian who just recently became a christian - people who approach you talk about God...well, they just look crazy and turn people off.
I was 'converted' by a person who is a Christian who just loved me and was there for me judgment free no matter what. That's what God's love is about!!

I think focusing on the actual teachings of Christ, and stay far far away from the Old Testement works best. Churches who share the love and positive aspects of Christianity are by far more welcoming than the Hellfire and foaming-at-the-mouth evangelistic zealots.

Live like a Biblical follower of Christ and tell them WHEN THEY APPROACH YOU.

Let the subject come up if it should, it is more effective not to say "Hi do you know Jesus". Find common ground to discuss and if it does then that is an open door and walk through it.

there are none. people who are approached by others who are trying to get them to be apart of their religion will feel pressured and wont want to join or whatever. live your life the way a Christian should live it, through God.

Don't it is annoying. Make your own life a shining example and treat others with the loving concern and respect you wish for yourself. Basically practice - don't preach and remember love is divine no matter its origin..

Don't approach people. That's what people hate about christianity.
Why not just let people approach you. If people need the comfort that religion can provide, let them seek it out.
But don't go trying to shove it down anyones throat.

Living your life so that it is appealing to people who see you. Then, when/if they ask you about it, tell them what you believe.
If you try to convince them that you know something that they don't know, they'll only see you as arrogant. If you try to convince them that you're belief system is better than theirs w/o showing God's joy in your life, they'll label you a fanatic and close their hearts to you.
Remember, Jesus's preeminent command to us was "Love one another," not "convert one another."

helping people in need regardless of their religious beliefs.
Remember, when preaching you are only supposed to use words when absolutely unavoidable (e.g. somebody asks you a question about religion)

Having an open mind. Give your witness, then offer to listen to what they have to say. A sense of fairness is created. BUT. You have to genuinely listen to what the other guy is saying with an open mind.
