i've been offered a job where I will make almost twice what i make in my current job. However, in about four months I will be going back to school to get my teacher certification. My current job is pretty flexible and would allow me to keep my job and go to school. I'm trying to think larger picture here, and I would have to leave the new job once school starts. Although the money would provide some more financial security. What do you think I should do?

stay with the job that is going to let you go to school because you seem to have more stability with that job than the new job. good luck .

If your current job is more flexible, then I would stick with it, for the long run.
Otherwise you might have to start looking for another job once school starts and you leave the "new job", and we all know that finding a flexible work schedule is not that easy.

Stay with the current job. Do the math -- what is your salary for four months (the extra you'd make at the new job), less having no job for who knows how long.

If you are planning to go back to school, I would recommend you stay where you are because of the flexibility. Following the money isn't always necessary when you think about the long run.

i would say do both that why you have can have the best of both worlds, if you are about to finish school then you might have to deal with the stress of both of them temporarily. When I was in college I worked at a good job and went to school as well I did that during my senior year. you should be fine

I don't think you should follow the money. Rather think about which job you'd be happier in.
