Why should it....I love Ireland and the Irish, My mother was from Ireland, and I love love love it......you are so lucky...be proud...

...drogheda is kind of a hole..not as much as Dundalk. I lived in Drogheda for a while, it's just a big commute town and very "country", the accent is kind of weird too, seems to have a few letters of the alphabet missing ( ex: a le-er, for letter!)..lots of crime ( close to Belfast so lots of drugs!) and i didn't find the people friendly and the town is miles away from Dublin which makes life hard for commuting.

I thought it was a nice town. Probably does have some kind of curse, most places do.

Yes- you will be attracted to semtex- have an aversion to potatoes and you will be Oirish.
