I got one a month or so ago, and I have been juicing in the mornings. I usually have apple carrot celery, and of course, the smoothies are great, like strawberry, pineapple, banana.....
Wha is your favorite mixture, to juice up?

I found a really nice one worth about 200.00, at a thrift store, new in the box for, I think, 8.00!
I was pretty happy about that!
But we use it all the time. I get those giant bags of carrots, for juicing, at Costco, or Sam's, for a few bucks.
We make a combo of carrot, and apple, sometimes celery, and pineapple, spinach, beets and their greens, whatever seems good at the time. I got some kolrabi and kale the other day. We go to the farmers market a lot, and just get whatever seems like it would be good for us. I love these juices!. Jicima is good in there too.
I save the pulp for the compost pile, usualy, but we sometimes put it into soups, or omelets, or the salsa. We use our dehydrator a lot too, so I have made a few racks of the pulp to dry into a powder that makes a good thickener for soups, stews, etc.
now what kind of freak would have the need to thumb down any of these answers? we were asked what we like to juice, keep your negative feelings to yourself thumbdowner!

I recently bought a new juicer called the Vitalmax900, http://www.topbuys.com.au/juicers_10.aspx , and I absolutely love it.

My favourite recipe is apple, carrot, celery, orange and ginger. The ginger gives it a bit of pep and is really settling on the tummy.

Am going to try juicing some pineapple tonight, which is apparently very soothing for the throat.

Am feeling so much better with the extra nutrients I am getting from the juice.

Why would someone give a thumbs down to these answers? They're opinions!!

Anyways, I absolutely love my juicer because it keeps me healthy (I hate veggies). I juice spinach, lettuce (anything but iceburg), carrots, cucumbers, squash, tomatoes, and occasionally honeydew melon. To sweeten the taste, I usually add cranberry juice.

Cherry Berry Smoothie
1-1/2 cups frozen unsweetened blueberries
1 cup frozen pitted dark sweet cherries (unsweetened)
2/3 cup blueberry juice or cranberry juice
1/2 cup nonfat vanilla yogurt
1 Tbsp lemon curd (optional)
Add ingredients to regular blender in order listed. Blend on high until mixture is smooth (you shouldn't be able to see any chunks of fruit). You may need to stop the blender in order to stir the fruit with a long spoon if the blender gets stuck.
Serves 3

I love any smoothie that has a handful of nuts. You'll never regret having a juicer. Its a good buy.
