Why on earth, are some of you so quick to rudely dismiss people on here who ask airsoft, airgun, and paintball questions? Yes, this IS the hunting category. There IS NO airsoft, airgun, paintball, or, for that matter gun category.
These non-firearm shooting sports don't belong in the Games-Recreation category. They don't belong in the toy category.
There's no one in those categories who knows anything about airsoft/airguns/paintball. Those who do know are all here.
Every time you insult someone for asking a question here, you potentially make guns/hunting another enemy. That's all we need....more enemies. More people who won't support gun rights or hunting rights in the voting booth. Wonderful.
These airgunners/airsofters/paintballers ARE THE GUN OWNERS OF TOMORROW.....Unless we convince them we are all a bunch of JERKS, that they want nothing to do with.
If answers provided categories for guns, paintball, airguns, and airsoft guns, That would be great...but they won't.

Why does one think there are so many 'self-defense' and other general firearms ?'s in the 'Hunting' section, as well?
Firearms owners would LOVE to have THEIR own forum, but, after numerous ?'s and comments on Yahoo!. . . . . . .
'Paintball', 'Airsoft'<<<< =>>>> 'General-Outdoor Recreation'
"Nuff Said! ! !"

The best thing would be a general gun category for guns that are not typically used for hunting, I know few people who hunt with a 1911 but many have questions. Few people hunt with antique Lugers but those questions end up here too. They should also put in a category under "toys" for these fake guns.
About the "gun owners of tomorrow", most pro gun people are pro gun because their parents were, not a whole lot of converts. Most people I know get their kids .22 rifles at 8 or 9. you don't want your 5 and 6 year old playing with paint ball guns... 8 or night is the very minimum age I would trust a kid with a gun.
The failure is mostly by Yahoo to provide a category for these guys, although these paintguns and airsoft guns belong more in the toy section or dangerous toy section.... they aren't used to hunt, they aren't guns, they don't belong here.

I agree. Paintball doesn't fall into the category of "hunting" it's more general outdoor recreation.
I think Yahoo could add a category or multiple categories for hunting, firearms or paintball without taxing their system to much. Cripes they have categories for the ecowhacks.
I personal don't think paintball is probably a very good mechanism to learn basic skill such as "Gun Safety".. I have first hand knowledge of what can happen when a 20 gauge removes fingers.
It's dumasses that seem to driving this planet right now, and frankly, Yahoo put up hunting a category and it winds up being a catchall for sporting related items, God this place was full of Political argument during the Virginia tech crapola.

You make a very good point
I don't answer airsoft questions because I have never used one or played however I do play paintball The only time I get mad at people here is when some gamer kid quotes myth busters like they are god and every test they do is 100% undeniably true (they have gotten better (mythbusters)) when they say that the blank and blank gun is good because its really good at killing bad guys on James Bond or Halo and when somebody says can I use a 22LR on deer or 17 HMR for that matter

1) There are differently levels of security compromise. It could be anything from someone repeatedly typing in the wrong password attempting to login. To Yahoo detecting multiple concurrent logins from different addresses which is a sure sign that something is wrong. When you sign onto Yahoo or ANY online login screen, NEVER EVER select the option to remember or keep you signed on especially since you have so many people using the same computer. 2) You really need to be running some sort of anti-virus software. The one that comes with Windows is totally worthless. Computer virus are sophisticated enough that it can mimick pop-up windows that looks like Windows messages where EVEN if you click on the CANCEL or 'X' to close the window it will infect your system with the virus. I have seen pop-ups in Windows 7 that looks close to the admin sign-on screen. If you enter the admin password, the virus gets admin authority and infects your system cross users. If you hit the CANCEL or the 'X', it infects your local account. One of the primary sources of virus is the free movie and tv sites on the internet. Everyone of them have innocent looking pop-up ads which most people automatically hit the 'no thanks' or 'x' to close not realizing ALL the buttons are what initiates the infection. In order for a trojan (a type of virus) to infect your computer, you have to activate it by clicking a button. And just because the button is labelled "cancel", "no thanks", "close", etc. DO NOT MEAN A THING. It is only a label. 3) Deleting history is actually a good security practice. The option to delete history also includes deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. This prevents bad cookies from being carried over to the next session. 4) You didn't state which version of the Windows operating system you are using. If it is one that allows you to create multiple user accounts, then setup an account for each individual user where NONE of them have admin authority. This keeps viral infections limited to a specific user area/account. If you do not have the means to setup separate user accounts, then you need to install an anti-virus software - anything BUT windows security or McAfee will do.

Wow, really? I wouldn't shun someone for asking a paintball question here. However, I can't help you in that category. Good luck. I'm gonna stay abreast of this question so I may learn something about paintball... the only time I ever played, the gun kept jamming. - Never has happened while I'm hunting... That would suck.

I think it belongs in the general outdoor recreation . I understand your meaning as hunters and gun owners we should get along and not argue amongst ourselves . But I dont classify paintballing as hunting its totally different to me it involves shooting other people not game animals. And is a recreational activity and should be in the recreational category.
I wish we had more actual hunting questions on here . Like methods of taking and the habits of game animals . Maybe Yahoo will give this some attention and categorize things better

I agree. Some of these folks may never own a real firearm, but some might. If we all insult them, they will start to relate gun ownership with being jerks. It's called public relations, folks.
If you can't help them, move to an answer that you can help with. Think of it as a thirty second investment in the future of the Second amendment. You can spend thirty seconds going to another page or five minutes ranting an answer that doesn't benefit anyone. Think about it.

James makes a very valid point!
Those asking the questions will in fact (hopefully) be future real gun owners. Sportsmen/women and hunters. None of us own this/these forums. Takes only seconds to click on another question.
