i was thinking real estate...and with a short course i mean 1 month- 8 months...around that ammount of time. any other ideas???

Real estate is excellent IF you are really good with people and have a passion for sales and are a self starter AND live in a hot market. I am none of the above. I am a truck driver making 85k a year. You can get training in about a month. In about three years you can be making 50k. You will start around 35k. In about ten years or less, depending upon your record of safety and making the right connections, you can make 85k.
I do not recommend trucking to ANYONE who wants to have a life. If you want to be gone away from home all the time and work around the clock and have no social life or family life or any kind of a stimulating challenge and enjoy isolation, become a truck driver. If not, you are much better off waiting tables or working at Burger King. Good luck!
