i have a 93 dodge dynasty with about 90k miles on it...

my car will start up fine, i can turn it off leave it overnight start it again the next day fine... but when i turn it off and it sits for a few days it will need to be jumped before it'll start again... like the battery runs out of charge if i havent started it in like 2 or 3 days... if i jump it and drive it/let it run for a while its fine again and i can start without any problems the next day...

this is a fairly recent development and started a few months after i got my battery replaced (though honestly i dont know how long its been going on since i usually drive everday)... could it be the new battery or the alternator or what? is there a fuse somewhere in the car that doesnt shut off? how would i go about finding this out?

First of all, there is a fuse in the fuse box or under the hood, I can't remmember which. It's marked and I believe it's in a special yellow holder that should be pulled for prolonged setting. It's called an off dravw fuse. It disconnects various computers to minimise off draw of the battey when the car sets a week or two. however, because you aren't setting that long, you have another problem. First role the windows down. Disconect the negitave battery cable and place a test light between it and the neg. battery terminal. The light should light up because when you disconnected the battery, and hooked it back, via the test light, the computers became allert. Now with the test light still connected, touch the cable to the post and the light will go out. hold it there for two minutes for the computers to go back into ' sleep mode'.Move the cable away from the batt. post and if the light stays off, you don't have an adnormal draw. If it lights back up, you do. And here's how to find it. Remmember the windows are down because if you open the doors the doom lights will complete a circuit and keep the test light light. Reach through the window and open the glove box and push the dome light button and see if the test light goes off. If it dose, the button needs adjustment. If it dosen't, remove the bulb in the trunk. If these doesn't fix the problem, you will have to go to the fuse box and start fulling fuses till the light goes off. But disable the dome lamp switch/button on the door pillar first or the light will stay on even if you do find the problem. You can also use an amp meter to find an off draw also, But you will have to start with a 10 amp setting and work down to keep from blowing a fuse in the ohm meter. The maximum amperage for this car with the computers asleep is 35 milliamps. But with the test light, you won't have to worry about blowing a fuse and when it is out, you will probably be around 35 amps any way. If this doesn't solve the problem, try pulling the off draw fuse when you let it set very long. That's what it's for. Good luck.

First make sure the battery is charged.Next disconnect the negitive battery cable from the battery.Connect a volt meter or shop light between the battery post and ground cable or ground. With the key off,if you have power at the volt meter their is power going to ground. Now,pull one fuse at a time till their is no power and that will be the circuit with the power drain problem.Have a blessed day.
