what can i use on the side of the wall that looks great not cheeze to protect it from the grease splashing on it. it is on the side of my stove not the back i looked at back splash i think that it would look cheeze let me know

#1 clean the existing surface and paint with a highgloss enamel paint and then you can wipe off grease easily
#2you can install some marble tile to that area of the wall it is not cheeze and cleans up nicely

Go to Home Depot or equivalent store. Go to the kitchen cabinet section and ask a sales clerk to show you some laminate sheets you can use to protect from grease splatter. They should have some decorative sheets of formica or like material. Here's the drawback...If you are renting, your landlord may not appreciate your glueing something on his wall or cabinet. I'd check on that first.

Most people I know use a vinyl tye-tac, mac-tac type covering. It comes in so many patterns, but it also comes in clear.
Or you can throw on a couple coats of high gloss varnish.

why not try wall paper instead?
