I am not asking if you think its healty or not I simply want to know if you can lose weight doing it. Eating so many meals a day is so difficult for so many. I am trying to find a doable alturnitive.

I eat only once a day and have for years. I don't think the time lag from one day to the next is long enough for your body to go into starvation mode. I do it because of scheduling problems. It does not help lose weight. I have managed to lose 30 lbs, but it had nothing to do with how I eat.

Yes, I suppose you can lose weight by eating only one meal a day. But I will say it will be mostly water and the weight will return quickly when you go back to regular eating.
It is best to eat small meals..or snacks throughout the day,
as long as they are healthy choices you will lose weight.
Also, walking is great for weight loss, and it will help keep it off. Good Luck to you. Eat healthy, that is a good key to weight success. :)

yes you will lose weight by eating once daily during the first half of your day ,but this only for several weeks then you can notice the difference and when you stop losing weight you either increase exercise or switch to another diet.

Yes, you will however as soon as you go back to "normal eating" you will gain the weight back. It is unhealthy to eat only once a day. It is best to maintain your metabolism levels which helps you burn calories and fat by eating 5-6 small meals per day.

you will lose weight after awhile but i would not suggest it for one your body will start to eat away at its self which will cause you to get sick more take longer to get better and you will lose muscle weight not fat weight. most people do not want to lose muscle just fat and eating once a day will cause you to look more flabby but weight less not a good thing.

Acutlaly more likely you'll gain weight. eating once a day makes you hungry which makes you eat more. Plus your body will think a famine is coming so it'll store more fat making you gain weight.

no you cannot, your body will begin to look for more foods and shut down, it will hold onto the little bit of stored fat it is getting causing you to gain weight

try eating 6 little meals a day instead
