I am a male, age 24 and over the last six months I have grown my hair from nearly shaved to 4 inches long. Ever since it has reached around two inches I have been noticing that when I shower, as I run my fingers through my hair, I will have a small amount of hair stuck to my hand. It happens when I run my hair through the sides of my head too, but primarily it happens on the top. My question is, is this normal of longer hair or am I starting to show signs of balding or thinning? If so, is there anything I can do to prevent further thinning? Thanks in advance!

Yes this is normal..women always lose hair in the shower (just ask our husbands how annoying it is) and also when we brush or comb our hair...our hair is everywhere! My fiance complains its so much that it gets stuck in t he vacuum! (he doe snot understand cause his head is nearly shaven)

so, dont worry..totally normal.

It is normal to lose a least 100 strands of hair a day. Believe it or not. Hair follicles die and release the hair from it's hold. New hair will grow in it's place. Now if you are losing from top and sides then it will be a sure sign of thinning hair. You should try Rogaine. You can find it at the walmart. Or the best bet would be go into a hair Boutique and ask them what they recommend. Catch it early so that you don't have to go through what every man on earth will not admit they are going through.

i understand what you advise. Mine is popping out extraordinarily. in spite of the undeniable fact that I even have thyroid issues inflicting mine. You often shed various hairs an afternoon yet being underweight or no longer getting adequate supplementations or some drugs tend to make us lose greater. too a lot injury additionally ought to reason hair loss and then there is heredity too. So if each thing else is customary then it must be no longer something to woory approximately. purely be advantageous to get the main suitable quantity and form of supplementations. you need to objective a multi diet supplement for a jointly as to be sure if it enables.

Normally, we lose up to 100 hairs per day. Of course, when you are young, some hairs are growing in at the same time. Sadly, when we get older, falling hairs are not replaced so well.

If you think your hair loss is more-than-normal, you should see a dermatologist. There is a very common scalp problem called seborrhea which causes itch and hair loss. It is not curable, but controllable. (Personal experience.)

it could be a number of things, but if it makes you feel any better, my hair comes out a lot when i shower or brush it, and it's just because i have really fine hair. you may not have noticed anything like that if you've kept your hair buzzed for a long time.
