My advice is to stop using fish oil supplements as none of them can reduce anxiety or overcome clinical depression. Any reduction in either that is experienced is due solely to the calming effect of the idea you are "doing something about it."An adequate balanced diet is all you need to give you EPA or DHA. If you have chronic anxiety and/or clinical depression see a psychotherapist. I'm not particularly advising medications but am a believer in talk therapy for these disorders.

Good luck, good health, peace and love!

Are you talking about omega-3? I'm not sure what EPA or DHA are, but I am somewhat familiar with the use of fish oil to help ease depression and I found the previous answer to your question to be somewhat disturbing.

Studies have shown that Omega-3 does seem to have mood enhancing benefits...although how helpful and at what dose is still a mystery. There is also some evidence that it actually increases gray matter in the brain (which has been observed to be reduced in certain areas in those with serious, recurrent depression). So for someone to say definitively that it is only helpful as a placebo and has no real benefits ... unless they know some big secret that all of the scientists have missed ... is not a factual statement...it is only an opinion. Besides, Omega-3 has other health benefits.

I have bipolar disorder (and several other things) and have been in many types of treatment with various doctors and many meds for most of my life (I'm 31 now). I've heard nothing but good things about Omega-3, from the doctors themselves (at least three of them on separate occasions). Not as a replacement for meds, but in addition to.

Search for Krill oil. It is supposed to be superior to fish oil.
