The best steaks I ever had were when I was in Argentina.
Get a flight to Buenos Aires, and go to just about any restaurant on Nueve de Julio or Corrientes, or to one of the places along the harbor at Puerto Madero.
Then, order your steak medium rare with cracked peppercorns, ensalata mixta, and espárrago asado a la parilla. Or, you could just order the whole dang parilla and get lots of different barbecued beef items served to you on a smoking brazier tableside.
If you want to cook at home, go to Carrefour and buy your steak in the meat department. It is about $3.00 a kilo, or $1.50 a pound, for exquisite New York strip steak of about 1" thick that is same-day fresh and of a quality so high, it has never been seen in a US supermarket. Put a barbeque rub on this steak and grill it on a small brazier on your Recoleta apartment patio with charcoal and some patatas pequeñas.

med, rare - grilled or broiled. Ive never heard of had or breaded and fried steak, interesting.

Top Sirloin, pan seared, 4 minutes each side with a light salt crust. Devour! Yum! (I like my steaks still mooing!)

I like mine grilled and it has to be ribeye or new york strip. I make a marinade out of Lawry's seasoning salt and it is so so so delicious. I like mine cooked medium well.
