I'm talking about a TRUE "Till Death Do Us Part" kind of Love, NOT the "Hollywood" type popularized by the media...

Would YOU truly pass up something rare, real, and tangible over such a petty issue as Religion???

i've got been in love with an atheist earlier. It did no longer artwork out, yet our differing non secular ideals had no longer something to do with it, because of the fact we certainly respected one yet another as mature adults who have been able to starting to be our very own man or woman judgements. think of that! i'm no longer precisely a marriage-minded female, yet I parent if I ever have been to get married the opportunities of me marrying a non-non secular man or woman are possibly equivalent to those of me marrying a fellow Christian. i'm no longer so petty to allow non secular ameliorations come between an in any different case healthful and happy relationship.

To love someone is to respect and trust them. And if they were able to love each other, then religion is not a concern. They would have an agreement of not trying to conver the other.

Your question was kind of one sided. Would the christian try to convert the atheist? according to the bible the christian is to force christianity on others. So you only viewed one side of the arguement.

I do love someone who is religious. I am not sure if she is a Christian because she doesn't push her beliefs on me, but I know that she believes in God.

I have no problems with religion in relationships or anywhere else as long as it is not forced on others. (I also think that atheism should not be forced on others.)

Of course. I wouldn't let something intangible like religion interfere with the reality of personal relationships. Its like judging someone based on what color they like rather then on the actions they take. The person is way more important then their beliefs.

I do love someone who takes the Bible very literally.

We have had our share of arguments, but our love for each other is much stronger than our disagreement over religion. I think we'll be fine. :o)

Well, my wife was Christian, but she knew I would never convert. So she renounced the Holy Spirit (apparently that's the only way to unsave yourself) because she couldn't stand the thought of being without me in the afterlife.
I tried to explain to her that there is no afterlife, but couldn't convince her.

My girlfriend is a Christian.

Make a life? We're currently trying to salvage one.

Been there. She cut me loose shortly after "finding God", not the other way around.

Funny how she still sends me texts saying "miss you" about once a week. Guess Jesus isn't there for her like she thought.

(If you are reading this, I don't miss you. You made a choice. You have to live with that.)
