The big rumor mill has Mountain Dew/AMP energy teaming up with the National Guard splitting time as the primary sponsors for Dale. As for numbers, #81 is first and foremost in erveryone's mind as a front runner, but #58 is becoming a contender to adorn the doors and roof. (5 for Rick Hendrick and 8 for Dale Jr. combined)

Seems like this question comes up every day on here...Jr said last weekend out here in calif, everything is set, its going to be announced in a couple weeks.....Most likely Mountain Dew/Amp and also Nat'l Guard part time... Hey I don't care what/who his sponsor is, or his number is, I'm a true Jr fan, he could be driving a car with no sponsor and no number I'd still be a fan....He did make a comment that he is sure his fans will be happy.......I'm happy no matter what..

It will be announced soon. Rumors are saying that Mountain Dew/AMP (an energy drink from Pepsi) will sponsor over 1/2 the races and that the National Guard will be on Jr's car for the others. 81 is most likely the number he will have.

I would like to see Wrangler as his sponser. The number is tough because I dont think I will like anything but the 8 however, the 08 would work for me. lol
Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Hendrick Motorsports are expected to announce later this month PepsiCo Inc. products Mountain Dew and Amp energy drink are his primary sponsors for next season, sources confirmed Sunday.
Earnhardt said Aug. 31 that he has a number and sponsors in place for next season but that everyone will have to wait to find out what those are.
Several reports this week also said Hendrick Motorsports has applied for trademarks with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for five numbers – 81, 82, 51, 58 and 38 – one of which could be Earnhardt's number in 2008.

my bet? #81 and Mountain Dew energy drinks. Would be really cool to bring back the DW dew ride for Daytona. There are many dew energy drinks and color schemes and think of the commercials....
it will not be the 3 the 8 the 38. This question has been asked a million times and if you listen to the race reports or watch any of the news on nascar or check it out on line you would know more...

I can tell you for sure he won't have the Budweiser :( Kasey Kahne will have them as a sponsor next season. There's talk of Pepsi or Mountain Dew as the sponsor and no word yet on the number. But as long as he's driving the car I don't care who the sponsor or the number is. But no one will know for sure until Dale Jr announces it. Hopefully soon.

Likely the 81, it would be cool if he were sponsored by Wrangler but I have also heard Mountain Dew. I like Dew but hate pepsi, I took the Pepsi Challenge and chose Coke blindfolded.

Jr will have the Sponsor of whoever makes the best deal with HMS.
His # will be whatever HMS and Nascar choose it to be.
