It's almost impossible to name the types of engineers out there. Everyday an engineer who has a PE in a major discipline will identify themselves as a certain type of engineer. You have your make areas like you mentioned but specialties are discovered everyday. Just go with your basic areas of engineering, find out what they incorporate and branch from there. For example I have a BS in Agricultural Engineering but my title is Bioenvironmental Engineer, Ecological Engineer or Hydrology Engineer.
