This is for the Army veteran who thinks she drowned, wrong Marilyn Monroe died of a drug overdose. Natalie Wood drowned falling off of her Yacht in a heavy robe.

Marilyn was always light and bright, so I would suggest light colors, maybe a white (simulated) fur throw for a rug or across the bed. Very rich, light furniture and colors.
Maybe shades of white with very light gold in the drapes.
Gold lamps.

Posters of her, naturally. Try to get her movies to display prominently.

That would be a great theme. My suggestion would be more of a black and white color scheme. Think of old movies and old hollywood. (glamour!) Maybe find some cool qoutes of hers and frame them or use them as a border along the walls. You can find alot of cool stuff. Try ebay or a merchandise website. I will include some for you. Other cool colors might be adding some gold accents or maybe red??

Maybe hang a couple movie posters of hers or make a collage of your favorite clippings.
Happy decorating! It's gonna look great!

I would suggest you going out and finding your best color photo of her. Then I'd use the picture of her as inspiration and paint my bedroom in those colors. Then go out and buy up Marilyn memorabilia and decorate the room with it. Another suggestion, would be checking with places that put emblems on T-shirts and such, and find out if they have an image of Marilyn and asking them to put that on a bedspread or curtans, or whatever for you.

go to allposters.com and search for marilyn monroe
they have a ton of posters and pictures of ehr to get ideas. It will give you good ideas for the era, her syle and some colors
also might want to try james dean.. there are some pics of them together and he was a "sex" symbol from the same era so it would tye in nicely. I have a huge poster of her and it is soo pretty!!!
also think about things from that era to tie the room in

There were so many woodworking plans with this collection and you will not believe this but there are over thousands plans in the one package deal. Go here https://tr.im/WoodworkingPlansAndTechniques
This is really something to find that many all together. For someone like me who is just really starting to get involved with woodworking this was like letting me loose in a candy store and telling me I could have anything I wanted. That was my dream when I was a kid.

The first thing tha pops into my head when you Marilyn is the fact she was discovered at a soda fountain. You could try bringing a little of that into your decor.

Along with stone, mud and animal parts, wood was one of the first materials worked by early humans. Microwear analysis of the Mousterian stone tools used by the Neanderthals show that many were used to work wood. The development of civilization was closely tied to the development of increasingly greater degrees of skill in working these materials.

If you like marilyn monroe ... yeah.. try an under water affect. With a water bed? They are awesome. Beds with water in them. How about painting a river picture on your walls? =D
