No, we should not trust them. Although we have confirmed reports from the IAEA that the nuclear power plant you mentioned is not yet functioning, we cannot necessarily believe that the major cause is a delay from the Russians. This may be a ploy to divert attention away from the real truth: that Russia and Iran have known for awhile that an invasion of Israel is planned.
However, Ezekiel 38 suggests that the actual command to attack, which will be given by Gog (a Russian leader), will be on very short notice. In the meantime, as I write in my Yahoo 360 blog, all the necessary arrangements have already been made.
This invasion will effectively end radical Islam, leaving the way wide open for the Antichrist to step in and propose a "peace" treaty.
EDIT: "Dad," the Ezekiel 38 and 39 invasion happens BEFORE the Tribulation; it is not Armageddon. See my Yahoo 360 blog for proof.

Wow, the Russians run spy planes, just like the American do!
Personally I do not trust the Russians or the Iranians further that I can spit a large rat. But that is based on their past performance and has nothing to do with an ancient book of fables.
And the name in Ezekiel?
Magog (Closest today is Turkey)
Meshech (Closest today is Turkey)
Tubal (Closest today is Turkey)
Persia (Closest today is Iraq)
Ethiopia (Still a country)
Libya (Still a country)
Gomer (a guy from the Eurasian steppes)
Togarmah (His son)
Gomer and Tgarmah are dead and buried, so I guess the entire prophecy thing is a bust.
But I tell you what, we will all watch out for a coalition between Turkey, Iraq and Libya trying to sneak an attack on Israel.
(That's eight names by the way.)

mmmmmm you are just forgetting the intervention of the angels. You can't read all that and not let them warn us. Ezra says that Iran was made soft to the People after they conqured Babylon. I think Ezikiel was a prophet of his times and not ours.
Do I think that some angels are alien sightings yeah.
Do I believe that Ezekiel was talking about a "babylonised" jewish people yeah.
Do I believe that Ezekiel saw beyond Babylon (Levent and Iraq) no.
Do I believe that Ezekiel saw America, UK, Russia, Iran, Pakistan, China, North Korea, no.
I doubt Ezekiel forsaw the Greeks. Prophets in their times were good. Wisdom of prophets is always good but trying to interperate what any prophet said was given up a long time ago. Even the gospels debate aspects of Isiah.
Christianity should and always was about using scripture in our own time but certainly not using scripture as prophesy. Christ died and he end all confusion about prophesy.

Anyone who knows history knows that war happens constantly - it doesn't take a genius to predict anything, really. We can say America is falling down, which it may very well be, but when you're number one, you only have one place to go. In terms of religious war history, that one is a given. Did and prophet predict the internet?

Obviously not. They may be planning this attack at present. The scariest thing is that they would obviously need to eliminate the US as a threat in order to get away with an attack like this, and I'm sure they're taking that into consideration. Rev. 18 may be a prophecy about how the russians eliminate the "threat."

Matthew 24:21 says the great tribulation will destroy all flesh.
But God is cutting short the days for the chosen ones or ones who will survive this destruction. It is only moments away.
If we knew how close we would be very afraid. It is supose to come as a thief in the night.
We should be prepared and ready for this to happen any day.
But I don't think it has anything to do with the current Isreal.
He cast them off as his people and they are not in his favor they don't accept Jesus as their personal savior.
As Jews that are not Christians they are not saved.
So those prophecys do not apply to them but to spiritual isreal which is God's people taken out of every nation.

Ezekiel 38 and 39 are figurative/symbolic language/literature. They are not designed nor are they intended to be interpreted literally.

Well, politics has a lot to do with it but I really don't see the point in bringing in religion - aren't you just grasping at straws and trying to fit real life events into something that was written ages and ages ago and then saying they were prophesied?
