How can you prevent something that is natural! When you are hungry you body is giving you signals that you need food to have energy. Now you should be wise and make good food choices to satisfy your hungry, eat a lot of vegetable, fruits and food with a lot fiber and drink a lot of water.

drinking water. A lot of times you will listen to your body incorrectly and confuse thirst with hunger.
If you are hungry or craving something, force yourself to drink a glass of water, wait 20 min, and if youre still hungry, then you are truely hungry.
oh yeah and lots of fiber, as well as a big breakfast will prevent you from craving food throughout the day....!

Fiber and lots of water. A cold glass of water before a meal curbs appetite a bit. Eating foods high in fiber make you feel fuller and henceforth you theoretically eat less.

exercising surpresses your appetite, not in a bad way, you just tend to drink more fluid and only eat what you have to.
its a win/win situation
(the only problem is to actually not be lazy and go do some :)
