I have heard that people should not be cremated because then they will not be resurrected in the second coming. Is there any truth to this?

No. People dead for centuries obviously have bodies rotted away. Cremation is not an issue. Just don't leave them out lying around. There were specific rules for disposing of bodies such as the general public not touching dead bodies and those that did had a cleaning ritual. This prevented the spread of disease the people then were not aware of. Burial, cremation, at sea, in a hole, in a cave does not matter. What matters is being remembered by God.

We have the greatest miracle God ever did for our lives (in perspective of course). That was the resurrection of Jesus to his prior spiritual state with all the memories and personality he had before. This gives us reliable evidence He can do it for us no matter when we died.

That would mean the martyrs who were burned at the stake for their beliefs would not be resurrected. That is silly and no there is nothing in the bible that says we should not be cremated.
