They are being vicariously egotistical.

BTW, Xians who get their knickers in a twist over the use of the abbreviation of X for Christ do not know what they are talking about. In Greek his name starts with the letter Chi: which looks like the X in our Roman alphabet.

The substitution of Christ with X goes way back, with recorded usages of Xmas in 1555.

Once again the Xians have no idea of their own history.

If Christians were hostile and/or egotistical, they would never have bowed before God and confessed their sins to Him in the first place. In other words,Christians have already done this in order to become a Christian. Sounds more humble than egotistical to me.
Christians believe in that "magic man in the sky" and are being true and honest to their beliefs, not hostile or egotistical. And the Bible, which Christians also believe in,clearly states that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

This is what the Bible says.
"Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord."
As for God being invisible, have you ever seen an electron?
Have you ever witnessed the Krebs Cycle?
I can bet your answer is "no." But, you don't doubt that?

No they're just speaking the truth. It's from the word of God. That scripture literally came from no man but from God himself. Christians are speaking the word when they say that.
That's a word the Holy Spirit gave.

Just quoting a holy text.

Is calling a Christian a 'xian' hostile?

If there is no proof, what's the difference what a Christian says?
----------------------------
Edit: Χριστιανός - point taken.
my 'knickers' were not in a twist, but thanks for the concern.

And doesn't this 'xian' just make my point for me? Something one takes as hostile, isn't intended as hostile?

I've always kind of taken that as a threat. Maybe I'm just paranoid.
