I have gone nearly a year without any of my questions/answers regarding Christianity reported and deleted. I probably ask and answer 10 times many about Christianity as I do about Islam. Yet I would say over 50% of my Q's and A's about Islam get deleted. I am pretty much equally opposed to both cults and speak my mind accordingly.

Yesterday I received my first V notice for a question I posted about Christianity. What's up with you Christians? Are you now stooping to the level of Muslims and just attacking people you do not like or people who disagree with you? What's so hard about sending me an email that says something like "Chris, what you said was very offensive. It seems like you are not really wanting an honest answer, but rather trying to instigate arguments." Something like that is respectable and can be dealt with accordingly. Why be cowards? Why not express your opposing views as an answer or send me an email if you are too scared of public ridicule?

common_sense_don't_hur, I do not necessarily want to instigate arguments. I was simply giving the benefit of the doubt. True I do intend to stimulate discussion & get people thinking. Some people think they know it all or are very guarded. These people may have good info to share with everyone else, but this info can often be put through their personal filters & come out as nothing at all or just a sacrastic remark. I touch topics & subjects that are taboo. I bait the weakminded. I bother people who are normally not bothered (myself included). I walk along the edge of what is & is not appropriate. I extend my middle finger to political correctness. I do whatever I can to pull people out of their comfort zones so we can get some real discussion. The way I see it, if you are offended GOOD. That means I have your attention. Now, let's hear what you have to say.
Also, trying to not offend is a waste of my time, nearly impossible to do. Some are offended by my avatar. Come on!!

This should be an open forum. I haven't looked at your prior posts so I don't know if you are outlandishly attacking anyone. I doubt you are, it seems you are well spoken. But people do fear the truth, or confrontation. Apparently, no one likes things pointed out to them.

Heh, just read your additional details. I wrote a paper once called, "The Art of Offense." It rounded out how everyone is offended by something, and normally it's ridiculous. It focused mainly on mainstream media and how little things can be said and blown out of proportion. In that paper I found that people would rather be offended first than discuss a topic openly. Being offended instantly shifts the conversation. The subject of the conversation gets changed from question or statement to accusation or a derogatory comment. Once that happens, conversation dissipates and all that is left is defensive arguments where both parties usually end up wanting an apology.

People who get offended are people who can’t deal with problems or situations presented to them. They are as you’ve said, cowards.

Hmm. What you write tells me that you seem to be intent on creating controversy and a hostile environment.

Wouldn't it be a lot better to ask a question without ridicule, insults or whatever?

If your "question" is offensive on the face, why would someone even consider going "back channel" to discuss it. Just curious since your own words hint that you want to "instigate arguments".

I've not reported you, and have pointed out what I've thought were disingenuous questions you've asked in the past.

I agree with how folks should respond, but also recognize that everyone is given the right and ability to 'report' anyone on this site. If thats how someone wants to express their view, thats what Y/A says they can do.

I won't report you, Chris.

I don't know what you asked, but anything any of us says is offensive to someone. Though I wish you knew Christ, I know that God deals with everybody eventually, so I let him do it.

The Muslims have to do things because they don't really have a God. Christians ought to know that Our God is Alive and well. He does things, we ought to preach Christ and leave it there.

I give my opinion too, as I just have. But reporting questions that offend me would become a full time job, and I believe that would be exactly how Satan would have me go, instead of preaching the Gospel!

Because they are weak, just like the muslims they pretend to be so different from.
