I'm looking for a VOIP company that works. I've had Vonage, Time Warner cable, and can't maintain a stable dial tone, which causes my internet to drop. I'm now looking at Power Phone.

I have callcentric. VERY cool. Got VOIP so that hubby and I could talk since he is in Europe and I in the states. The rates for international are REALLY good. I even got a phone number that is a Dutch phone number. Then I have it forwarded to my cell phone or my home phone - I only use it for my international calls.

To have the phone number forwarded it is a penny a minute - which really isn't anything - I am only paying $8 for my international number -

I looked in to Vonage and all of the others - this just had the best of what I wanted and needed...especially the international rates....

Your VOIP telephone service is only as good as your broadband internet service. If your cable is unreliable, your VOIP phone will be unreliable too.

That's what I love about traditional phone service. They've had 100+ years to make it utterly reliable through refining the technology and regulation. I'll never trust my main phone service to a new VOIP provider and a broadband connection.

My landline phone service has remained on and functional through storms, electrical outages, and even one major earthquake.

Let me sum it up for you like this. When's the last time your internet service went out? Now when is the last time your traditional phone service was out? Nuff said.

try SUNROCKET!! It's the best VOIP phone service I've ever had. Never lose my internet, and there's always a dial tone!!
