There is a telephone preference service I do not know if it applies to mobiles but try it > You will find it in the local 'phone directory library or CAB. it takes a little while to work through the system as does the one for mail.
I always start of being polite to these people but at times they are so persistent that the only solution is to ring off as soon as you know what it is after making it very clelar that you are not interested. Door to door salesman are the same and I have found myself asking them what part of "n"o don't they understand

How approximately 'chilly callers or salespeople no longer welcome, so f off. in case you do knock, assume a bad ask your self after my door opens as my Rottweiler proceeds to consume your entrails. accomplish that at your man or woman danger'. or consistent with possibility: 'until I already understand you, do no longer problem knocking on my door. That applies to chilly callers and salesmen of any description. in case you fall into one among those communities, assume to have the door slammed on your unwelcome face.' or consistent with possibility: No chilly callers or all individuals advising of centers.

You start by putting your number on the National Do Not Call list (it looks like someone has already given you a link.)
Next, call 3 mobile and let them know that you number is on the "do not call" list.
The last step is the next time you get a call ~ interrupt the spiel by saying, " Hold on please, what is your name? What is your number? who is your supervisor? This number is registered on a do not call list, which means you are breaking the law. Now, who should the Attorney General's office ask for when they call this number?"
They will usually hang up at this point, and you will never be called again :)

Contact 3 mobile and tell them you don't want these calls. You can also block these calls. I used this website to stop cold calling and it has worked very well.

I like to put them on 'hold' & then hum 'greensleeves' down the phone for as long as it takes for them to get bored (or scared!) & hang up.
