Always check with your vet before giving your dog human meds. A phone call is free.

There are different types of mange, scabies would be sarcoptic mange. You need to take the dog to the vet and find out what type of mange he has, and the vet will advise you of the proper treatment. If you give the dog human medication, you could end up doing more harm than good. And don't let the problem linger, the longer the mange is on the dog the harder it is to treat.

You need to check with your vet before doing anything lilke that. Mange can progress into a life-threatening disease, so I would not suggest any "home" remedies.
