I would wait until after the 7th day, since that is when they told you that they would call. They are probably waiting for the results of the drug screening, and it can take awhile for those to come in. If you haven't heard after the 7th day, I would just call and ask if they have made a decision about hiring you. Good luck!

You wait to hear from the manager as the results are being sent to the company, and barring a positive result, he should be calling you.

After the 7th day, if you didn't hear from him, you can call him to ask if everything is in order thus opening up the conversation and finding out if there's any questions on the result.

wait one more day... if he doesn't call you , then give him a call. your foots already in the door if he sent you to take a drug screening..as long as your clean, consider the fact that you's be asked to start your new job soon.

eager employees are usually welcomed. I would suggest you call them and say you just wanted to make sure that they hadn't tried to contact you yet. Then restate your interest at getting started.
